A good variety of greens is important in Functional Medicine

The Future of

Natural Healthcare

Functional Medicine meets our healthcare needs in the 21st century, offering a whole new way to address the epidemic of chronic disease. This unique approach addresses the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms and determines how and why illness occurs. Functional Medicine restores health by addressing the root causes of disease for each person.

A journey back to health

I see our journey as a partnership where we work together to help you achieve the health goals that are important to you. Following each consultation, I will devise a plan that incorporates how to use food as medicine as well as suggesting powerful tools around lifestyle medicine. It may be necessary to use functional testing (urine, blood, saliva, stool) to get to the root of your symptoms and understand more about how and why imbalances have occurred within your body. I have found over the years that having more understanding about the reasons behind your symptoms people are more encouraged to make changes that help re-establish more balance and better health. These changes are more of a ‘change for life’ adding greater quality as well as longevity to life rather than a ‘quick fix’ to mask symptoms and merely control disease states.

Finding the "Why" in

chronic illness

Even if our illness has the same label, how we got here will be different for each person. This means the journey back to better health will vary for each of us.
