Infrared Saunas: Incredible Systemic Benefits

Infrared Sauna

I bought myself a birthday present – an infra-red sauna sleeping bag and honestly, it’s one of the best things I have ever bought.  I got it in order to help regulate my immune system and also to help with the mould detoxification protocol that I am doing and didn’t realise the enormous benefits that it would have on my nervous system and sleep!  I feel so passionately about them now that I wanted to share some of the incredible benefits;

  1. Detoxification and Cleansing:

Infrared saunas are renowned for their ability to promote detoxification. Unlike traditional saunas that heat the air around you, infrared saunas penetrate the skin’s surface, generating a deep sweat that releases toxins and heavy metals stored within the body. Amazing for mould detoxification too, it is one of the most effective ways to deal with mycotoxin load.

  1. Pain Relief and Muscle Recovery:

For those suffering from chronic pain or muscle soreness, infrared saunas can provide much-needed relief. The gentle heat from these saunas increases blood circulation, this lushes out many of the accumulated inflammatory substances.  It relaxes muscles, and reduces inflammation, making them an excellent choice for post-workout recovery and easing conditions like arthritis.

  1. Stress Reduction and Improved Sleep:

The soothing warmth of an infrared sauna induces relaxation and reduces stress. Regular sauna sessions can lead to better sleep patterns, as the release of endorphins and the calming environment created in the sauna can help combat insomnia and promote a restful night’s sleep.

  1. Cardiovascular Health:

Frequent use of infrared saunas has been associated with improved cardiovascular health. The increased heart rate and improved blood flow experienced during a sauna session can help lower blood pressure, enhance circulation, and support overall heart health.  Even with high blood pressure, the infra-red can help repair damaged blood vessels

  1. Enhanced Skin Health:

Infrared saunas can work wonders for your complexion. The deep sweating helps to clear pores, expel toxins, and stimulate collagen production. Many users report improved skin tone, reduced acne, and a healthy, radiant glow.

  1. Weight Loss and Metabolism:

While not a replacement for diet and exercise, infrared saunas can support weight loss efforts. A 30-minute session can burn up to 600 calories, and the increased heart rate helps boost metabolism, making it a complementary tool for those looking to shed extra pounds. If we have a toxic load, your body will do is take the toxin out of circulation out of the blood then deposit it in a fatty store.  This can be one major contributory factor for unexplained weight gain.

  1. Immune System Boost:Regular use of infrared saunas can strengthen the immune system by increasing the production of white blood cells and promoting overall wellness. A robust immune system is vital for warding off illnesses and infections.
  2. Pain Management and Chronic Conditions:Infrared saunas have been reported to alleviate symptoms in individuals with chronic conditions like fibromyalgia, Lyme disease, and multiple sclerosis. The soothing heat provides relief from pain and enhances the quality of life for those living with these conditions.   With nerve damage also, the sauna can help to repair nerve vessels by restoring blood supply and restore function.Personally I have a MiHigh uk.mihigh.com/ but there are others including Get Fitt which are great products as well get-fitt.com.

    If you have high blood pressure, then saunas may not be right for you.  Please check with your GP or healthcare provider before using them.
