1 tin of chickpeas, rinsed and drained

1 tbsp ground cumin / paprika / curry powder (the choice is yours)

2 tsp chilli flakes

2 tbsp maple syrup

Juice of 1 lemon

Olive oil, Salt and pepper


  1. Preheat the oven to 200C / fan 180C.
  1. Put the chickpeas on a lined baking try.
  1. Sprinkle them with cumin, chilli flakes, salt and pepper. Drizzle over the maple syrup, lemon juice and olive oil, stirring well to coat.
  1. Bake for about 45 mins until they are nice and crunchy.
